In this unique talk show, there's no traditional host. Esteemed guests engage in paired interviews, taking on both interviewer and interviewee roles. The guest count can vary based on episode duration. "The Desk" serves as the backdrop, and guests enter via mechanical armchairs. Questions are displayed on a built-in monitor. A visible countdown keeps track of interview time. Once the time's up, the interviewer's chair moves offstage for the next guest, who also becomes the new interviewer. Graphic inserts and video contributions enhance each interview on the monitor.
Project Overview:
The project is a groundbreaking talk show that dispenses with the conventional host role. Instead, it features distinguished guests who assume a dual responsibility, taking turns as both interviewers and interviewees. The number of participating guests can vary, beginning with a minimum of four, with the possibility of adjustment to suit the episode's duration.
Central Element - "The Desk":
At the heart of the show is "The Desk," a silent yet pivotal element that serves as a unique and central setting for our guests. This innovative talk show design is centered around "The Desk," which takes on a prominent role as a key visual and functional component.
Guest Transitions:
Mechanical armchairs facilitate the entrance and exit of guests. These armchairs seamlessly transport individuals from backstage to center stage, where "The Desk" is prominently positioned. Once a guest arrives at the desk, questions designed for the interview are displayed on a monitor integrated into the desk's structure.
Time Management:
A large countdown board is prominently featured, serving to inform the audience of the remaining time for each interview. This ensures that interviews are conducted efficiently and within the designated time frame. The countdown board plays a crucial role in managing the transition, allowing each guest to shift from the role of interviewee to interviewer as the conversation progresses.
Seamless Transitions:
Upon the conclusion of a guest's interview role, the interviewer's chair is automatically moved offstage, facilitating the entrance of the next guest. At this point, the previous interviewee assumes the role of interviewer in the upcoming exchange.
Content Enhancement:
Each interview is enriched with graphic inserts and video contributions, directly displayed on the built-in monitor. This feature adds depth, context, and visual elements to the conversations, enhancing the overall viewer experience.
Diverse Guest Roster:
The show boasts a diverse range of guests, including politicians, entertainment celebrities, sports personalities, and other prominent figures in the public eye. These guests engage in dynamic and engaging discussions within the distinct setting provided by "The Desk."
This innovative and dynamic format seeks to redefine the conventional talk show, offering a fresh and engaging approach to televised interviews while harnessing the charisma and insights of an array of esteemed guests.
VARIATIONS IN FORMAT
The structure of "The Desk" offers considerable flexibility in both its format and content, exerting a significant influence on the target audience, channel selection, and broadcasting time slot. Notable examples of content variations include political forums, sports forums, religious discussions, TV comedy specials, children's programs, women-centered specials, musical showcases, groove specials, and the integration of interactive elements such as audience questions via SMS. Few examples:
The Hot Desk: Geared towards an adult audience, this version is aired later in the evening. It primarily features beautiful and provocative women who engage with enticing and flirtatious questions.
The Desk - Game Version: A light pre-evening program reminiscent of shows like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire." Competitors on opposite sides of the desk face off two at a time, following classic game show dynamics. Each time a contestant loses, they are replaced by another challenger in the rotating chair. The jackpot fluctuates based on the game's progression during the program.
The Desk of Love: This segment transforms into a speed-dating game, split into two segments. In the first half-hour, 20 guys, each socially, physically, and culturally distinct from one another, have a brief window (up to 3 minutes each) to woo a single, captivating girl. The audience determines which of the 20 guys gets to go on a cruise with the girl. If the audience's choice aligns with the contestant's pick, both parties win the cruise and additional prizes. The second half-hour features 20 girls courting one captivating guy seated behind the desk, following the same mechanism as the first half of the game.
